Overview
As the Planning Strategy and Implementation Manager, you’ll lead the preparation, review and delivery of development plans. Working with Head of Service and their team, you’ll implement those plans according to council policies and guidelines. You’ll seek opportunities for external funding and carry out negotiations with developers – always maintaining a strong focus on policy and finances. We’re looking for someone that has experience in policy planning in a local government setting. Your creativity in managing projects with financial and resource limitations will also help you thrive in this role. Confidence in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and project management software will be crucial. And, you’ll need to be willing to travel to sites throughout the borough.
