We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Product Specialist to join our Global Business Coordination (GBC) department working at our office in Tamworth. As part of a hugely ambitious change programme you will join a team responsible for the ongoing implementation and development of technical solutions to ensure Aldi remains relevant in the changing digital world. You will join a ground breaking team, shaping the future of commerce across Aldi’s Digital Channels. In the GBC department, it is our job to think about how we can improve our customers’ lives, evolve the business, and prepare for the future. From spotting market trends to forming industry-first technology solutions, we create products and experiences that keep customers coming back to Aldi, time and time again. For you, it’s an amazing opportunity to utilise state-of-the-art technology to bring about digital change that delivers real customer value. Your focus will be to assist in the co-ordination with Vendors, Business Strategy Teams, Product Owners and IT Departments to understand implementation effort, cost, and benefits for all new projects. You will be required to document this information into both a backlog and detailed Requests for Project (RFP). Through this you will play a pivotal role in the planning, development and implementation of innovative technical solutions, pushing the boundaries of what retail is in the 21st Century. This is a varied role that revolves around the strategic planning and deployment of technical solutions. You will be required to evaluate and analyse data, create solutions concepts, coordinate the execution of actions, and have a detailed grasp of information technology. Your ability to predict future trends will be built on an understanding of the technology and the numbers behind todays evolving retail markets. As this role is part of a global team, there will be significant European travel for the first 6-8 months of this exciting role in which you will get the chance to travel to other countries which form part of the ALDI South Group (including Germany and Austria) as well as gaining new insights and experiences. On average you will travel 3 out of 4 weeks per month. All travel, accommodation and food expenses will be paid for. Key Responsibilities: • Request for Project (RFP) writing • Project planning and consistent reporting of project status • Process vendor tendering information • Working cross functionally and across geographies to drive forward topics • Working with ambiguity and taking ownership of deliverables • Data Analysis and Market research • Supporting change management activities • Facilitation of workshops and coordination of tasks • Ownership and maintenance of strategic and technical documentation for senior stakeholders • Regular communication with key business users in the Aldi South countries • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach Skills Required: • Ability to work across topics simultaneously • The ability to deliver under pressure on multiple projects within short timeframes • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, along with the ability to quickly understand new software • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral skills • Meeting facilitation skills • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail • Capable of building trust and relationships at all levels • Highly self-motivated • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks while under pressure • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment • Ability to prioritise tasks within a changing environment • Digital Product Owner experience (desirable) • Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable) • Experience working in an Agile environment (desirable)
