Overview

Community Project Worker Location: Hibiscus Head Office in London - frequent travel to work from other London women’s centres and hubs. Salary: £22,950 - £27,030 pro-rata for PT Contract: 1-year FTC, renewable, subject to funding Hours: Full-time / 35 hours (part-time hours considered) We are looking for a Project Worker to manage a case load of women who are affected, or at risk of being affected, by the Criminal Justice System and who are experiencing immigration restrictions. The Role: The purpose of the role is to work holistically with the women to provide advocacy, support, advice, guidance and create opportunities for their self-development and wellbeing. The Individual The Community staff team is currently under-represented with staff members who have had first-hand experience of the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems - we would welcome such applicants. We welcome applications from women who have had some experience of working with vulnerable people, who demonstrate exceptional aptitude and attitude, who have a real interest in this particular work, but who may not satisfy all the desirable role requirements. Such a candidate must be willing to undertake training and development to equip herself for the role.
