Overview

Software Tester - Manchester - £25k I am currently recruiting for a Software Tester, to join a worldwide gaming company based in Manchester. In this role you will have a keen eye for detail, and spotting issues that most would miss, able to provide the best customer experience to their clients. You will be working closely with a team of Testers, Artists, Software Developers and Project Managers who work together to deliver exceptional software on time. Housekeeping and creation of Test Plans and Test Cases. Ensure the software is functionally complete, stable and tested within a given time frame. Testing experience with functional, UI, regression, Performance, Usability, sanity checking. Liaise with 3rd party testing / development teams, predominantly for testing end to end communications. Preparing and configuring test environments including recommendation of new hardware and software when necessary. Assisting the QA Manager in defining the best processes and tools to perform QA tasks. Work with the QA Manager to ensure daily organisational activities and deliverables are met. Skills required Minimum 2 years system testing with experience of working in a fast paced agile environment. Minimum 2 years testing in a Windows environment. Strong knowledge with test case management software (Quality centre, Enterprise Tester, TestRail) Experienced with bug / issue tracking software (JIRA, TFS) Able to work in high pressure environment on multiple live projects. Knowledge of software development life cycle. Able to work in a team with a diverse range of team members (artists, developers, project managers) Methodical and able to compartmentalize tasks and follow them through to completion.
