We are looking for an inquisitive individual to come and work within our current BI Team, supporting both the services which we offer currently but also to be part of shaping our future services out to our business customers. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you'll have the ability to make a significant impact to the organisation by supporting the delivery of the Business Intelligence with state-of-the-art data and BI solutions. The objective of this role will be to create and maintain the Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, Data Lake, Data Warehouses, Data Marts and ELT / ETL. Salary £45,000 - £50,000 Work Pattern Monday - Friday 40 hours per week Job Description Respond to incidents raised against the Data Platform / Warehouse, BI reports, related overnight processes and other BI related areas Implement change requests (minor and major) related to the existing BI suite. Own developments from design to implementation Consult business in how to use the Data Platform and its information (self service) Maintain live, pre-prod and UAT deployment environments Maintain the ‘batch’ and ‘real time’ processing jobs Work with the wider IT team to ensure a continuous high level of systems availability and performance Experience 3 Years developing data pipelines using ELT/ ETL and DWH/data marts. Azure Data Platform, including experience or an awareness of Databricks Dimensional Data modelling for DWH, data marts, logical and physical database design. Data cleansing routines. DAX calculations and SSAS cubes including Tabular Models, plus MDX expressions. Experience of Agile delivery approaches and DevOps. Awareness and use of source control and release management technologies such as Azure DevOps. Building data platforms on premises or in the cloud, big data and traditional. Power BI (Desirable) Skills You will have exceptional communication and relationship development skills, being able to deliver multiple concurrent projects of differing scale and scope. Degree level or equivalent qualifications. Highly customer focused, able to quickly build trust and develop customer intimacy. Solution-oriented with the imagination to identify options for critical problems. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments. Self-starting and self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
