Jewellery Designer Job in Dorset Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be working with a prestigious jeweller in the Dorset area in recruiting for a Jewellery Designer. The company have been established for over 50 years and provide a high level of service to their clients. A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Jewellery Designer to join them. The successful candidate will be attending pre booked appointments and designing pieces for customers ranging in style, complexity and price. The pieces you will be responsible for designing will range from rings, and pendants to broches and earrings. Duties and Responsibilities: Meet with clients and build excellent rapport, getting an understanding for them on a personal level during the first initial consultation Work closely with customers to understand their requirements, thoughts and wishes Show clients different styles of jewellery to get a feel for their taste and style Work in high levels of detail, making adjustments to designs through the process Discuss specific requirements regarding materials such as Platinum, White, Yellow and Rose Gold Advise and work with the client on discussing gemstone requirements for coloured stones and diamonds. Work independently in preparation for a secondary appointment, mock-up and hand draw ideas to present to customers Use bespoke software to create, make adjustments, and form real size renders of the piece Finalise the design, budget and details with the customer ready for manufacture Knowledge and Experience: Previous experience within a similar role Excellent and natural ability to hand draw pieces from scratch Knowledge of different metals and gem stones including diamonds Experience working on a CAD or 3D Design software Full driving licence and happy to travel to stores in Dorset Salary and Benefits: £Open to discussion Working hours 8.45am - 5pm Travel is reimbursed Prestigious local brand Working with and learning from a renowned industry Designer This position would suit an experienced Jewellery Designer with excellent communication and attention to detail.
