Occupational Therapist

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Slough Borough Council to provide them with Occupational Therapist on a 3-6 month contract which is likely to be extended into a long-term contract. This role is 36 hours per week and offers a pay rate of £24.00 - £30.00 per hour . This may be negotiable dependent on your experience. As a successful Occupational Therapist, your duties will include: Working in a team and managing a varyingly complex caseload of clients to provide appropriate occupational therapy assessments in order to identify levels of needs and outcomes required and throughout the care management process provide advice, counselling, therapy and advocacy according to professional expertise. To identify the level of resources that are required and need to be made available for each service user and carer and inform managers of specific needs that cannot be met, through non-availability of services or because of budgetary provision. Explore with the service user the service(s) which will be required and made available/ purchased and to confirm in writing with the service user the agreed objectives and expectations of both service user, carer and the Department. Arrange for delivery of services and installation of disability equipment To be considered for this position, you will have the following knowledge/experience: a) Experience: Experience as an occupational therapist previously Experience working with adults with physical disabilities Experience of major adaptations and moving and handling Experience of working with people in their own homes Experience of prescribing and fitting a range of disability equipment b) Additional A World Federation of Occupational Therapy recognised Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy Current OT Registration with the Health Professions Council Full Valid Driving Licence and use of a vehicle If you wish to be put forward, please apply below and contact Dale Singh Spencer Clarke Group. / WHY SPENCER CLARKE?
