Overview

Production Engineer - Electrical You will join us as a Production Engineer responsible for all aspects of the production and testing of our electron microscope camera systems. Production Engineer Responsibilities: - Designing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for our Technicians to execute with input from Detector Engineer / Scientist, Technicians. - Design and implementation Factory Acceptance Tests with input from Detector Engineer / Scientist, Technicians. - Ensuring compliance with procedures during production. - Responsible for submitting fully costed production equipment requests. - Checking drawings from Design Engineer for production implications. - Optimising storage and labelling of parts for builds. - Initiating requests for re-order by Purchasing. - Establishing / Improving to ensure compliance with Finance stock process. - Template jigs for assembly of parts with input from Design Engineer. - Ensuring the Assembly environment remains organised with a focus on 5S with assistance from Technicians. Production Engineer Requirements: - HND / BSc in Electrical / Mechanical or Electronic Engineering degree and comfortable working with technical drawings and processes. - Substantial experience in specialised component and equipment manufacturing; and knowledge of quality management systems and processes. - Design CAD experience and understanding including Microsoft Office skills. - Good communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience of coordinating with and influencing other functions to achieve improvements and efficiencies. - Effective planning and organising skills. Proven ability to take responsibility for projects and deliver results to deadlines. No agency.
