Overview

Staffco Direct are urgently seeking HGV class 1 drivers for day tramping runs with a client based in Manchester. The work is on-going and could lead to full-time with the client. The Job: - The duties will involve collections and deliveries of general haulage goods across the country. - Nights out will be required using a sleeper cab. - Mostly collecting and delivering palletised goods on curtain sided trailers. Experience of using ratchet straps is essential. What we offer: - Hourly Rate: £13.00 including holiday pay £25 for night out - Is it Monday to Friday - Start times (Days): 05:00 am - Average shift length: 10 hours What we are looking for: - Please add specific license requirements where applicable (eg, HIAB etc) - Current and Valid CPC and DIGI TACHO - No more than 6 penalty points (no IN DR or DD codes) - Excellent level or English - Excellent knowledge of the UK road network - Hardworking - Good Timekeeping - Customer care focused - Well presented - Physically fit Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous upon application of this role.
