Our Healthcare Assistant role involves: Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well-being, dignity and treatment of all patients Observe and monitor the well-being of patients ensuring that any physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries Maintaining a positive relationship with patients, their families and carers as well as other health agencies Helping to maintain a safe and secure environment Carrying out and supporting a range of activities, including basic nursing, social and recreational activities, and health promotion Encouraging individuals to take an active role in all aspects of daily living; along with supporting a lifestyle which facilities, spiritual, physical, psychological, cultural and social needs of the individual Assisting with providing a needs-led service Contributing to the development and implementation of individuals care plans Undertaking a range of training and development activities, in line with your personal development plan and legislative requirements To be successful as Healthcare Assistant you'll need Educated to a minimum NVQ1 or O Level/GCSE Grade D-G No specific experience is required but is beneficial About our benefits In return for your expertise and hard work, we offer a wide range of benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (at commencement of employment) A Group Personal Pension Plan (GPPP) Private Medical Insurance Scheme Life Assurance Free meals while on duty Carefirst - Employee Assistance Services Continuous learning and development Career development Personal health insurance Voluntary Benefits This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89940225
