Lead Night Carer / Night Care Assistant Lead Night Carer / Care Assistant Wigston LE18 Permanent and full time £8.75ph - £9.25ph depending on experience 9.30pm - 8am BS Social Care are currently recruiting in behalf of our client for 2 roles as a Lead Night Carer / Care Assistant for a care home based in Wigston. About the company; They are a family run business with over 25 years' worth of experience caring for the elderly. About the role; ' Staying awake and alert overnight ' Obeying instructions in a responsible manner. ' Helping residents with personal care including washing, dressing, taking to the toilet, and bathing ' Escorting residents who need help with mobility ' Caring for ill or dying residents ' Performing household duties which may include: cleaning of rooms, laundry, setting tables, washing up ' Answering telephone, call bells, and door, giving assistance as necessary and making visitors welcome ' Reading and writing reports ' Attending staff meetings and attending training sessions About the ideal candidate: ' Ability to do, and flexible approach, to relief work ' A happy, caring personality ' A mature outlook ' Reliability and good timekeeping ' Good communication skills ' Ability to work as a member of a team ' Ability to cope in difficult situations and make decisions and solve problems as necessary. ' Ability to understand drug system and issue drugs ' Good grooming and personal hygiene May be an advantage ' Previous experience as a night care assistant ' Training in first aid, health and safety etc. In return; this role can either offer a full time and permanent role.
