If so, join the team as a Technical Instructor, you will be working 37.5 hours a week, including weekends and evenings at Victoria Gardens in Huyton, a modern purpose built facility hospital. ? Working alongside the Occupational Therapist team, you will support the therapist in planning, evaluating and delivering occupational health to service users who have complex mental health needs, personality disorders and/or learning disabilities. ? You will help support a variety of activities, including music, horticultural therapy, sports and leisure and varieties of other opportunities to engage service users in their care plan. Throughout recovery, it is your responsibility yo develop individual rapports with each service user, to encourage their interests and motivations to participate in the activities. ? Alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will provide quality and safe interventions, and undertake administration tasks, including managing documentation, contributing to the CPA process and the upkeep of the occupational therapy equipment and resources. Role - Male Generic Technical Instructor Location - Huyton, Liverpool Salary - £18,135 pro rota Hours - 37.5, Full-Time Your responsibilities Develop rapport with service users to encourage their interests and motivations to participate in Occupational Therapy Services. ?Participate in planning and evaluating Occupational Therapy programmes. Facilitate flexible programmes that complement the service users assessed needs and requirements. Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary team to provide quality and safe interventions. Adhere to a patient focused approach, appreciating the need to work with, rather than for service users. Act as part of the Occupational Therapy team. Comply with work and departmental policies and procedures. Produce and maintain appropriate standards of documentation. Undertake administrative duties as required. Promote the role of Occupational Therapy within the hospital. Undertake relevant training to gain a working knowledge of Occupational Therapy theories and practice, as directed by the manager of the service. Keep statistical records as required. Undertake all necessary documentation as required to contribute to the CPA process. Undertake annual statutory training. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Occupational Therapy equipment and associated resources/environments. Involved in the on-going development and promotion of the Occupational Therapy service to the hospital and contribute to the development and annual objectives of the Occupational Therapy service. Attend regular supervision sessions, displaying a pro-active approach to the supervision model. Work within the boundaries of confidentiality set down with the hospital policies. ? Where you will be working Location : Victoria Road, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 5SA You will be working at Victoria Gardens, a specialist locked rehabilitation for people with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge, as well as a ward for older females. You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence. The service is a recovery-based service and incorporates elements of the Good Lives Model, supported by individualised interventions. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team which includes Nursing, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker support.
