The Role – Electronic Service Engineer, Materials Testing Instrumentation To provide remote technical support to the European Service team and globally for the specified products, with some on-site visits globally as required. To represent service within new product development, and launch these new products to the field service team via remote and classroom based training. To prepare support documentation for the field service team to improve efficiency and develop new support channels. To provide remote support to the Field Service team in Europe and globally on designated products. To review escalations for designated territories and product lines as appropriate and make recommendations to local and senior management to resolve. To represent the Service Department on new product development and also concurrent product support teams to ensure product support and ongoing improvements are included, resulting in improved efficiencies and customer satisfaction To work with and develop new technology for the support of customers and Field Service Engineers As required, to visit customers in Europe and Globally in support of local service and sales teams, resolving technical issues and providing training to both customers and FSE’s. To ensure all call administration is accurate and up to date to the latest company requirements using the tools provided. To submit expenses and other paperwork on a weekly basis. To make a full contribution to the company's efforts to improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and improve quality. Good communication is essential, giving feedback and updates quickly. Perform other related duties as may from time to time be specified and agreed. Your Background – Electronic Service Engineer, Materials Testing Instrumentation Suitable candidates for this exciting role will need to possess a qualification in electronics, engineering or science, and have gained experience working in a customer facing field service or ‘in house’ technical support environment. Although experience of working with materials testing equipment would be advantageous; engineers from any industrial electronic or electro-mechanical based background are encouraged to apply, as full and comprehensive manufacturer’s training will be provided.
