Overview

A household brand e-commerce company with £1bil turnover is looking to hire a talented Software Engineering Manager with strong Java experience to spearhead the modernisation of an internal business platform which is considered to be the core of their physical operation. This company manages over 10,000 suppliers across the UK and uses technology to estimate the most cost-efficient balance between product ordering and sales geographically across the whole of the United Kingdom, all driven by massive amounts of customer data. This role involves 50% hands-on development and the rest of the time will be spent line managing a team of eight cross-functional technologists, up-skilling, pair programming, senior stakeholder management and making considered decisions on the best technologies to use and why. You will also be responsible for driving a DevOps mentality and general line management duties. Experience with the below will be useful: Java Spring Kafka NoSQL (MongoDB) AWS Docker Kubernetes CI/CD TDD/BDD This position comes with a salary of up to £85,000 plus bonus and other benefits.?
