Are you looking for a new challenge or a chance to move from practice into in-house, this could be the opportunity for you We are currently looking for a Housing Solicitor / Barrister to join a public sector body in Hampshire. This opportunity is paying £42-47k per annum, will hold potential progression, and will have all the extensive benefits a public sector body offer such as free parking, increased annual leave as well as the large pension. The main purpose of this role will be to provide expert legal advice on the law governing the organisation's functions, particularly in housing matters, including antisocial behaviour, injunctions, and homelessness. You will undertake contentious work and would be expected to attend the county courts and other tribunals. Duties: Advise on the law relating to Housing Law, Housing policy and Housing complaints To undertake court work in both the county court and magistrates Court Assist in advising on all legal aspects of the Council's functions ensuring that the organisations best interests are achieved within the law Make recommendations and implement change Instruct and take opinions from counsel where necessary Other legal matters Skills and Knowledge: Qualified Solicitor or Barrister Experience within Housing law Proven ability to present sound legal arguments on most day to day matters of law If you are interested, please click apply or drop your CV to
