Overview

My client, a 30 year established niche insurance company based in Cheadle are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. Worked from 9:00am-5:30pm Monday to Friday, the role will involve: Maintaining the cashbook on a daily basis. Production of monthly trade debt report, distribution and recovery from solicitors and analysis. Posting receipts received and payments made through the Bank to the appropriate ledger, ensuring the internal accounts system reconciles each month end to deadline. Posting of Accruals, Prepayments and manual journal entries. Creating payments by cheque and Bacs. Process and payment of staff expenses. Control petty cash and balancing receipts each month. Preparation and banking of cheques received on a daily basis. Calculation of monthly commission payments. Receiving, coding and posting all invoices onto the accounting system once the appropriate authorisation has been sought, to the appropriate nominals. Preparing the monthly supplier payment run for due invoices. Balance the purchase ledger nominal each month end. Manage any supplier queries. Scanning documentation onto our systems to ensure compliance with FCA regulation. Full training will be provided however relevant experience is required.
