Overview
Management Accountant required for our client, an award-winning independent energy supplier with offices in both London and Watford (the role will be split location). This company has over 20 years' experience servicing UK businesses. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, flexible individual who is eager to develop and take responsibility for the monthly management of accounts. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA Accountant to join a high calibre team that offers really exciting progression and future opportunities. In order to succeed in this role: CIMA / CA / ACCA Qualified (Newly qualified - 2 years PQE) Strong numerical ability and high attention to detail Ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to think laterally and problem solve Experience in banking & finance or energy industries is preferable but not essential Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to: Month end close tasks such as preparing and posting cost accruals, preparing and posting amortisation journals, reviewing journals prepared by junior team members, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling differences Responsible for preparing regular reporting to the business including the monthly management accounts and budget holder spend reports Responsible for the resolution of queries from our shareholder Responsible for the reconciliation of our monthly business P&L with product control Generate value in the business by finding opportunities to deliver profit, providing support to managers across the business, increasing efficiencies & finding cost savings Assisting and supporting with the year end audit Focus on personal development through training, constant learning within the role and increase in business knowledge
