We are working with a leading company in the cross-border payments industry who have revolutionised the ease at which we make international transactions. They provide businesses with clarity and control in what is typically a very complex and vague process. They have a cloud based platform which has harnessed the power of technology to improve this space beyond measure. Their current tech stack is mostly made up of Ruby, Scala, RabbitMQ, Redis, MySQL and Javascript. The core part of their platform is written in Ruby but they are in the process of migrating this to Scala, so you’ll have a very meaningful role in this. You also use: Cats, ScalaTest, Circe & PureConfig, ElasticSearch, and use modern Devops tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and many of the AWS modules. Essential requirements Strong Scala Skills Experience with Scala libraries (ideally one of cats, scalatest, circe & pureconfig) Experience or Desire to follow best practices like TDD/BDD Strong interest in working for a start up Bonus requirements: Experience working on migration projects Experience in payments domain DevOps experience (Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker) Experience working on scalable systems
