Overview

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Housing Options Triage Officer to join one of Badenoch & Clark's most improved Local Authority clients in Hertfordshire on an on-going temporary role. Based in Borehamwood, this is a full time role for 36 hours per week and you will be a vital part of their housing options department. Your key responsibilities will be: To receive and deal all homelessness approaches including telephone inquiries as the first point of contact for housing assistance. To make initial enquiries with the customer to establish whether they are homeless or threatened with homelessness within 56 days. To carry out an initial assessment with the customer completing the Initial Assessment Form collating personal information, establishing the cause of their homelessness and carrying out an assessment of their support needs. To input data regarding clients, updating and maintaining monitoring systems ensuring that information is kept for reporting purposes. Strong teamwork and communication skills are absolutely key in this busy role. Our client would ideally like to interview candidates with previous experience of working in a local government homelessness department, but this is not essential.
