Overview
A Financial Reporting Manager role with a pharmaceutical business in Slough. Your new company A multi-national pharmaceutical business Your new role As a Middle Office Country Lead you will take ownership of the accuracy of the organisations financial reporting in co-operation with the in-country finance leads and compliance specialists based in key locations. Work within the Middle Office team with responsibility for the monthly IFRS reporting for the British and Irish entities. Ensure adherence to internal controls and support colleagues to ensure compliance to local external accounting obligations. Lead the global intercompany recharges process with responsibility for the operation, accuracy and efficiency of this process. Be actively involved in projects to further harmonize and simplify the processes by embracing new technologies and working with our offshore resource to drive efficiencies. You will contribute by: Ensuring timely and accurate month end and year end group reporting in line with Group reporting requirements for entities in scope. Ensuring that books of all entities are accurate, complete and financial statements are prepared on time in accordance with IFRS in co-operation with thein-country finance leads, the local compliance specialists and with our compliance co-sourcing partner (Big 4). Working closely with and supporting off shore resources and ensuring appropriate review and approval of their work. Providing support to tax colleagues for the purposes of statutory compliance requirements. Working with finance colleagues to identify & quantify finance risks and working with internal and external auditors as required. Leading the process for the recharge of costs between entities, supported by off shore resource and the Global Tax Team. Leading other global finance projects as required. What you'll need to succeed A relevant professional accountancy qualification i.e. Chartered Accountant ACA or Certified Chartered accountant ACCA, or equivalent qualification. Several years relevant professional accounting experience either within the accounting profession or in house, preferably in complex global, international companies. Detailed understanding of financial statements reported under IFRS. Strong financial analytical skills. An enthusiasm to embrace new technologies and the new ways of workings derived from them. Comfortable challenging existing processes to find improvements and minimize risks. Very good communication, networking and influencing skills with sensitivity to working across multi-cultural teams. Ability to operate effectively in an ever changing and demanding work environment. Solution driven, pro-active, self-motivated and comfortable taking the initiative, with interest in and experience of managing teams. Ready to co-operate with multiple stakeholders. Experience of cross functional projects with a global impact is an advantage. Excellent oral and written English skills.
