Overview
My client is looking for an experienced Compressor Service Engineer, to join there ever growing team of expert engineers. Due to ongoing expansion, they have recently branched out into the East Midlands. They deal with the supply, maintenance, repair and hire of compressors, compressed air systems and associated equipment. The package Excellent salary and Lots of paid overtime available Company vehicle available for private use if required. 25 days annual holiday statutory days. Good working environment. Office hours 8.00 – 4.30 Monday – Friday Mobile phone/PDA and Laptop Fuel card. Duties Carry out service, repairs and planned maintenance on Air Compressors, Blowers and Vacuum pumps Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to refrigerant and desiccant dryers. Attend customers sites primarily but not restricted to the East Midlands area. Diagnose faults with customers equipment. Issue accurate and informative reports for any work carried out. Prepare accurate quotations for repairs/service work. Commission new equipment. Install pipework and modify existing systems where required. Attend manufacturers training courses where required. Participate in out of hours call out scheme and attend breakdowns when necessary. Advise customers of system/operational improvements. Assist Sales Department in generating leads for new equipment and Generate new service work and service contracts. Job requirements Current Driving licence Previous knowledge of Rotary Screw Air Compressors, Dryers and/or Vacuum Pumps. Working knowledge of electrics both 3 and 1 phase. Ability to work on your own or as part of a team. Flexibility to fit in with our customers working hours. Must have worked in a similar position with another compressor manufacturer.
