Automation Engineer

A well established system integration company that operates within the process related industries has an immediate vacancy for a Controls Project Engineer to be based at their site in the Cambridgeshire area. The company has been trading for over 20 years and the support of some of the leading control technologies in the industry. They are a multi-million pound turnover company and have a very healthy order book at their UK site in Cambridgeshire where the vacancy is to be filled. The Controls Engineer will work alongside and support the Controls / Project Manager in all activities that fall into the area of control engineering Main Responsibilities Conceptual design Preparing cost estimates and outline specifications Writing detailed functional design specifications Design of system architecture, network connections and interfaces primarily Ethernet, Devicenet, Profibus and Modbus Production of PLC software (Allen Bradley & or Siemens) Production of HMI software Familiarity with SCADA Site installation and commissioning which includes world wide travel Skills Experience gained within industry PLC – Allen Bradley, Siemens or similar Networks protocol experience (Ethernet, ProfiBUS, ModBUS, DeviceNet etc) A good understanding of controls systems This company offers an excellent remuneration package which includes a company pension scheme, 25 day holiday and a starting salary of up to £45000 for the right applicant.
