Overview

AWE are currently seeking an experienced Applications Systems Manager to support the business in providing high quality computing environments by providing and managing the provision of Application Administration expertise to the AWE User community. Summary of Key Accountabilities personally answerable for an activity Escalation of significant issues to the IS Technical Services Manager or Team Lead. Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player Summary of Key Responsibilities Deliver Technical Excellence Install, implement, monitor and maintain specific applications in keeping with current SLAs through effective processes, KPI's and problem management. Liaise with other teams to ensure service availability as required. Liaise with Senior Users regarding system access and system availability. Ensure that all users are supported in their day to day activities with advice and resolutions to problems and issues. Be responsible for diagnosing and resolving any problems, escalating to team members of other teams and vendors when required. Provide support to project delivery and undertake changes to systems in accordance with defined IS Change and Configuration Management. Ensure that IS change requests are completed and processed in timely manner to enable service improvement. Build relationships with other teams to enable better support and communications. Maintain technical skills to allow AWE to benefit from new and emerging technologies in order to make supportive decisions. Attend technical briefing / support groups.
