Salary : £highly competitive valuable benefits About the role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Radiochemical Laboratory Analyst to join an enthusiastic team delivering Radiochemical and Nuclear analyses and characterisation to a wide range of clients across the UK, with the UK’s number one testing, inspection and compliance company. Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of nuclear industry. Now we need a Laboratory Technician or Analyst that excels in quantitative Inorganic Chemistry and have a feeling for Radiochemistry. You will: Report to the Team Leader Samples To prepare samples for analysis Analyse samples in line with standard operating procedures The calculation of results The reporting of results Verification of result calculations Instrument calibration Understanding of instrument theory Assessment of specific job requirements (reagent volumes, matrix assessments) Preventative maintenance of equipment within the area Keeping the LIMS updated with sample progress (start date, preparation date, analysis date, calculated, reported) Keeping Team Leader informed of issues and delays Quality Method Owner (authoring changes, reviewing) Assisting with investigations of quality issues (customer complaints, non-conformities, potential non-conformities, improvement actions) Assisting with validation work Verification of spreadsheets Participation in proficiency test schemes Ownership of specific items of equipment within the area General: Be client focused and quality driven A right first time approach to work Maintain a 5S approach to work Be motivated to learn team based systems and achieve objectives Be aware of, and follow the company’s Quality Assurance procedures Be aware of, and follow the company’s Health and Safety protocols About you: We’re looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with the ability to work alone and as part of a team. Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have: An excellent set of analytical-chemical skills or have a drive to acquire these A client focused and quality driven attitude Motivation to learn team based systems and achieve objective Qualifications equivalent to at least BTEC in Science/BSc in Chemistry with 5 years experience in the analytical inorganic chemistry or MSc in Chemistry with 3 years experience in the analytical inorganic chemistry Experience with Radiochemical techniques is a pre.
