Overview
Job Title: Racecourse Administrator Location: Wincanton Racecourse Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend raceday and event cover in addition We are seeking a professional and experienced administrator to join our friendly team at Wincanton Racecourse, helping to deliver great customer service in a busy and fast paced environment. Role Summary We are looking for an organised and customer-focused individual who can manage the day to day running of the Racecourse Office and provide administrative and secretarial support to the General Manager. In this position, you will facilitate the day-to-day operations and activities for the Racecourse alongside assisting the Sales, Operations and Management teams with their administrative duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production, and distribution of tickets for racing and non-racing events, ensuring excellent standards of public relations and customer experience are provided. General administrative responsibilities will include, but not limited to: • greeting all visitors and answering incoming calls, ensuring that every customer is dealt with efficiently and courteously • monitor the Wincanton Racecourse website, social media content and racecourse e-mails on a daily basis • assisting the Wincanton team as and when required with administration tasks • to act as the first point of contact for all invoice queries and manage the payment functions for the Racecourse • taking minutes of Board meetings and noting actions • manage the stationery requirements for the racecourse Pre-Race day/Race day responsibilities will include, but not limited to; • overseeing all Front Desk Reception duties and the smooth running of the Race Day office • selling tickets/badges to members of the public who call into the office • maintaining the ticket/badge system, ensuring that an audit is kept of all requests and that ticket requests are dealt with in a timely manner To excel in this role, you must be approachable and detailed-orientated, with the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
