Come and work for us who can offer you FLEXIBLE HOURS & EXCELLENT BENEFITS Due to expansion we have several great opportunities for passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly & dedicated team at our Gullivers Service in Hornchurch, RM11 3BL. We have shifts covering 37.5 hours per week. You will also need to be a driver. Previous experience working with children with disabilities would be an advantage. Gullivers is a specialist residential service for children with autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities and associated complex needs including behaviours that may challenge. Individuals are supported to develop individually tailored, person-centred plans using accessible and alternative forms of communication that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence. Gullivers is a purpose-built house situated in 20 acres of green-belt land in Hornchurch, with a great team of dedicated Support Workers. It has five bedrooms and there is a communal living room, quiet room, garden and kitchen where the young people are encouraged to prepare meals. There is also access to the onsite activity centre which includes a therapeutic swimming pool, sensory and relaxation rooms, life skills room, art centre, music room and activity area. Gullivers also has a fully adapted mini-bus. Being a Support Worker can be the springboard to your future career - and to all sorts of opportunities and management roles. The Ideal Candidate Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people's lives. Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings and occasional weekends; we will however provide you with a rota well in advance so you can plan your social life accordingly.
