Accounts Senior

With what has been tremendous growth over the last 10 years as the practice have expanded their geographical client base, this County Durham accountancy firm are looking to welcome to the team an Accounts Assistant or Semi-Senior, preferably AAT (studying or qualified) to support them with their client base. Applicants must have current or recent practical experience from an accounting practice as opposed to industry as you will be working on year end statutory accounts. Working with a variety of clients, your customer service focus and ability to multi-task, juggling multiple clients accounts is a necessity. Being able to balance the demands and time pressures of working with multiple clients this role does require someone who can cope with such pressures and thrives on working in such environment. On a day to day basis you will work towards the preparation of year end statutory accounts on behalf of your client base which is predominantly small businesses. With the use of Xero and TaxCalc you will also take responsibility for bookkeeping, VAT returns, personal and corporate tax returns and a few manual sets of accounts. For those looking to further study ACCA is available in the future once you have passed your probation.
