Overview

Our client based in Hemel Hempstead are currently in requirement of an experienced payroll clerk for a 9 month maternity cover contract. Role This is an end-to-end payroll position for an experienced clerk to look after both monthly and weekly payrolls. Day-to-day responsibilities include: -Prepare and process weekly/monthly payroll -Prepare and process weekly CIS and umbrella payments -Chasing timesheets -Process HMRC starter checklists and P45's. -Statutory payments -Processing holiday pay -Maintenance of records -Assistance with year end reports as required -Reconciliation of HMRC liabilities/payments including apprenticeship levy Profile The successful candidate will: -Have experience in weekly/monthly payroll -Have experience/knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) -Have good Excel skills including V lookups and pivot tables -Understand auto-enrolment -Be able to work within a small team environment -Have great communication skills with colleagues across the business -Be able to calculate manual tax, NI and pension Company The company is a medium sized construction business in Hemel Hempstead. The offices are modern, with the full office team located on this site. Salary & Benefits 25-30 equivalent dependant on experience. Parking is ample on-site. The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
