Overview

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Social Worker within the Fostering Team in Aylesbury. Contract – 3 month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis. Working hours – Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 Rate of pay – £28 - £30 per hour Negotiable depending on experience – please send over your CV with the required rate. About the role Buckinghamshire’s adoption service comprises three teams working flexibly to provide Family Finding, Recruitment and Assessment of adopters and Post Order Support. This post focuses on family finding for children whose plan is adoption and you will be part of an enthusiastic and experienced team working closely with colleagues across children’s services and in partnership with external agencies. You will have oversight of the child’s permanence plan, profiling their needs on line and at events, writing matching and support plans. Coordinating the match and placement. Other duties include participation in delivering preparation training, workshops, recruitment activities and social events. The successful candidate will demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the needs of adopted children and their families and be able to contribute to the further development of the service.
