Requirements Engineer / Consultant

Our client is growing their Systems capability and are hoping to secure a Lead Requirements / Systems Consultant to help them grow the team in Manchester. They are now working across a number of government bodies, the military and the UK police force offering consultancy and research services. In order for them to reach their goals and capitalise on the security sector, they are looking for a highly technical Requirements professional, with excellent analytical and modelling capabilities. Working in the engineering consultancy team you will an integral part of the major projects that the business sis working on. You will ideally be looking to move up to the next level of your career and currently possess 3-7 years’ experience in a consulting, defence or power environment as a Requirements / Systems Engineering Consultant. You will have already been working win the area of requirements development and management, concept generation, evaluation and selection and have a good systems validation and verification understanding My client can offer you a wide range of market areas including defence, aerospace, rail, marine, power and energy and industrial sectors.You will be challenged daily with a wide range of career and technical opportunities, with the opportunity to play a key role in some of the UK's most high profile projects and you will have the ability and the support to develop your career to its full potential. The role will include: · Requirements development · Requirements management · Integrated Verification · Validation and Qualification planning The most important skill is the ability to think at a systems level, have a systems thinking approach to you work and interact effectively with clients to help them understand their needs and the needs of their customers. The successful candidate/s will meet some of the following requirements: • Experience of Authoring requirements or acceptance documents • Knowledge in using the DOORS requirements management toolset and SysML • Understanding of Model Based Requirements/Systems Engineering • Experience of Integrated Verification, Validation and Qualification planning • Preparation of bids, tenders, proposals and any business development is essential as this is part of any consultants role.
