The team you would be joining builds back-end systems that power API integration and are continuously evolving the platform to make it more scalable and reliable. Their systems are based in Microservices Architecture and with a tech stack which includes Java8, Kafka, Postgres, Vert.x, Python, Docker and Kubernetes. They like to push people outside their comfort zones so it would be great if you had knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Go etc… but if not they are happy to train you up and get you involved in Distributed Systems and Event Driven Architectures. You’d be given a training budget and they like Developers to approach them with new ideas and requests to attend training seminars and tech conferences. As a Backend Java Engineer, you will help building services that unlock new features, but also make the existing ones more efficient and reliable.
