Transport Shift Manager 12 Month FTC Based: Milton Keynes Type: Permanent 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift rota pattern (must be willing to work days and nights). Reporting to the Transport Manager, we are looking to recruit a Transport Shift Manager based at our Supply Chain site in Milton Keynes. You will deliver consistent performance overseeing the day to day running of the transport operations to ensure that all daily targets are met in the most cost effective, efficient and safe manner in line with Domino's Pizza standards and procedures. To take responsibility for supporting aspects of team performance whilst encouraging and leading continuous improvement activities within the department. Key accountabilities and responsibilities: - To lead, motivate, supervise and develop the operational team. Ensure business efficiency is achieved always through maintaining staffing levels and effective roster management. Ensure that the transport function operates within forecasts/budgets. Engage the team through regular 121's, ensuring clear constructive feedback on performance. Completing purchase orders/requests. Investigate vehicle and personal accidents - take actions and include any need for additional training. Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications: - Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and food standards. A good understanding of Transport legislation, Working Time Directive, EU Driver's Hours and Tachograph law. Previous supervisory experience, ideally gained within a Transport environment. Experience of hygiene procedures, standards and equipment in the chilled food industry.
