Assembly and Build Operative

Due to an internal promotion we have another opportunity to join our clients engineering workshop in their assembly and build department. Previous experience working in an engineering assembly or fitting workshop would be preferred but candidates with a mechanics background will be considered as industry training can be offered for the right person. Start: ASAP Location: Outskirts of Ely, Cambridgeshire Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm Salary: £Negotiable depending on experience Benefits: monthly bonus scheme,22 days holiday rising to 25 days holiday after 3 years, Christmas shutdown period, company sick pay scheme, Life assurance available after 1 years service Duties: Building of engine components Following build plans and assembly instructions Stripping and building of components for engines Building and stripping of turbos Assembling 1, 2 or 4 engines simultaneously to specification Studying assembly instructions and technical drawings Working with a parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements Skills and Experience Required: Previous Engineering assembly or mechanical build experience essential Individuals with a keen interest/knowledge of engines either through experience in the motor trade, motor sport, agricultural plant or general plant Excellent attention to detail with good manual dexterity Willing to undergo on the job industry training Ability to maintain high standards within deadlines Have a high level of attention to detail.
