Overview
POSITION: Chemical Plant Operator/Cleaner SALARY: £17,000 per annum BENEFITS: 23 Days annual holidays, pension, regular health checks, on-site parking. HOURS: 38 Hours per week LOCATION: Mitcham, Surrey, CR4 4NA DESCRIPTION: The Plant Operator is responsible to support the shift leader for the safe, efficient and effective operation of plant equipment and processes. The Plant Operator will perform a variety of activities, including reactor loading, thinning/blend tank loading, set up of equipment for various plant tasks, filling/ packaging of products, assisting the shift leader in loading/unloading of finished goods tankers and housekeeping. Note: Housekeeping and cleaning of the factory is a major part of the role. The role involves shift work so the candidate MUST be local to the plant. Previous experience in a similar chemical batch manufacturing environment would be advantageous. Ability to follow written and verbal instruction from others in a busy factory environment. Knowledge/awareness of H & S, COSHH and Environmental regulations is preferable. The main tasks are: Maintaining housekeeping within the plant. Filling of finished goods Loading reactors and blending tanks Loading/unloading of tankers Qualifications and Experience Levels: Previous experience in a similar chemical batch manufacturing environment would be advantageous Ability to follow written and verbal instruction from others in a busy factory environment. Knowledge/awareness of H & S, COSHH and Environmental regulations is preferable. Be flexible to work on a rota. Live within a commutable distance.
