Logistics / Planning Manager

Planning Manager -West Sussex- £40,000- £45,000 An Automotive Logistics organisation based within West Sussex are recruiting for a Logistics Planning Manager. As a Logistics Planning Manager you will be responsible for supporting the whole warehouse operation and support input into the customer logistics and line side planning processes. Responsibilities include; Management of static data set up in parallel with customer processes to improve efficiency and utilisation of space, equipment and people; Ensure the safety of employees by managing the safe system of work on site; Co-ordination of new product launch and current series improvements; Own the time study analysis and material flow documents to support Labour efficiency in line the Scope of Work and financial objectives; Participate in regular internal senior management forums and customer planning forums to ensure all proposals solutions are challenged and documented in official process change requests (PCR). In order to be considered for the position candidates need to have : Knowledge of working within a warehouse environment; Leadership experience; Understanding of warehouse and supply chain planning; Hold a formal qualification such as degree, MEng, BEng, BSc, HND etc. within manufacturing engineering or a closely related subject. It would be advantageous to have : Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD as well as Lean Tools and Techniques. Having experience with SAP, WMS and Error Proofing will also be beneficial. This role is commutable from Portsmouth, Havant, Chichester, Bognor Regis, Worthing and surrounding areas within Hampshire & West Sussex.
