Building Surveyor

An opportunity has arisen to work for a lovely firm of Chartered Surveyors, Architects and Engineers The company is well established and offers a fantastic environment to flourish. As Senior Surveyor with this company you will be responsible for projects ranging in size from small refurbishments through to new build educational facilities, from project inception to completion and beyond. You will be expected to take a proactive role in co-ordinating and leading design teams and contractors and advising clients in all aspects of their property. You will be involved in a range of projects, specifically new build as well as refurb and maintenance works. You will have a proven track record in successfully running and delivering projects in excess of £1m throughout the design process and on site. Experience of traditionally delivered projects of this size is vital as almost all of their school work is procured this way. Skills and Experience Excellent written English Strong technical knowledge Proficient specification writer Good defect analysis grounding Strong contract administration skills Competent use of CAD Minimum 3 years PQE or equivalent practical experience Ability to work independently and to effectively manage a design team Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying or equivalent (minimum 2:2) RICS membership is considered a plus
