Lift Service Engineer

My client is a specialist in the installation, modernisation, repair and maintenance of lifts and escalators throughout the North-East of England. They are currently seeking an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join their team in Newcastle, offering excellent earning potential and plenty of overtime opportunity. As they are a small yet growing business, the role has flexibility in terms of progression, with potential routes into Technical Engineer status and completion of the NVQ 4 in the future. The role for the Lift Service Engineer will involve; Managing a service route in the North-East of England, carrrying out routine maintenance and service checks on traction and hydraulic lift equipment. Occsionally assisting the Escalator Engineers in carrying out some servicing, however training for this will be provided. Making minor repairs where necessary. Covering a 24-hour call-out rota on a 1 week in 4 basis, attending to out of hours calls in the area. To be considered for this role, you will have; Experience in the repair and maintenance of traction and hydraulic lift equipment. Previous experience covering a call-out rota. A full UK driving license. An NVQ 3, J-Module Qualification or Grandfather Rights within a Lift Engineering discipline. This role offers; A competitive basic salary of up to £35,000 per annum. A 40 hour contract with great overtime rates. £100 standby fee, plus door to door at overtime rates per call. Company vehicle. Flexible working hours.
