A national charity is looking to recruit a Homelessness Support Worker in Birmingham. The role is full time and a temp-to-perm opportunity; the client is looking for someone to start immediately. The role As a Homelessness Support Worker in Birmingham, the client group being supported are young people who are looked after aged between the ages of 16-24 years old some with complex needs who are living in temporary accommodation. Responsibilities Key working with young people and families to build successful and trusting relationships Keeping record of work done with clients in the form of support plans Risk assessing individuals Providing therapeutic support to the people and assisting them with life skills and providing housing related support Candidate The successful candidate for the role of a Support Worker in Birmingham will have: Experience working with children and young people A genuine passion for working with vulnerable young people and families Availability to work flexibly Some knowledge surrounding child protection and safeguarding.
