Overview

Test Analyst(s) are required to participate in the creation of Test Cases/Scripts and the associated Test Data Requirements then the Test Execution and the reporting of defects and managing the defect lifecycle and reporting status and issues to management in a timely manner to ensure that the deadlines for deliverables are met. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the completion of a test strategy for projects or software changes Document test plans to support different test phases e.g. integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, etc Liaising with stakeholders to conduct analysis required for planning and evaluating testing Create test conditions, test cases and scripts as defined by the solution or product specifications Define and set up test data required to support testing Assist with the test environment set up activities Produce a test execution schedule based on the test cases and scripts Test execution and record test case results. Test execution may be manual or automated Note: testing using recognised methodologies including Waterfall/V Model and RAD approaches Produce a test progress report, analyse the results and communicate to key stakeholders Identify and report any issues and risks to key stakeholders Complete test tasks and escalate issues/risks as appropriate Produce and communicate an end of test report summarising test results, defects and suitability of software for release Knowledge and Skills: ISEB/ISTQB Certified Test Consultant Proven background working as a Test Analyst Proven background in test activities on defined work packages, including test planning, preparation, execution and test defect management Testing life cycle experience with solid skills in performing systems integration, UAT, SIT, Data Migration and regression testing Experience of testing both applications and Back Office systems Ability to work in a high-pressured, dynamic environment Proven experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance using testing management tools Broad experience testing to ISTQB standards and risk based testing Enthusiastic/self-motivated Strong team player Excellent communication skills Positive approach Accurate and thorough Occasional travel across Sagacity offices or clients sites Technical Skills: Experience with Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Developer, Excel
