Under the supervision of qualified Psychologists, you will contribute to psychometric, interviews, assessments, and formulations of service users in line with departmental, organisational and professional guidelines As an Assistant Psychologist, you will support therapeutic work with service users by co-facilitating groups, under supervision. Ensuring the effective organisation of therapeutic groups by conducting any necessary support duty deemed appropriate by the line manager/supervisor Alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will support service users to ensure they are engaged in their care pathway and will take responsibility for administrative duties. Role - Assistant Psychologist Location - Charlwood, Surrey Salary - £20,000 Hours - 37.5 per week, Full-Time Your responsibilities: To undertake relevant audits, collecting, analysing and reporting on a range of statistics To undertake discrete pieces of therapeutic work under the close supervision of a qualified Psychologist and within the appropriate competency framework. This may include undertaking structured/manualised treatment, supported self-help, homework sessions or other work with a clear and discrete remit To maintain the information, case records and databases to assist in the coordination and organisation of the Psychology services. To maintain and help develop new systems of operating in the Psychology Department To be responsive and responsible supervise attending scheduled supervision and seeking support as and when required outside of these times To help maintain the integrity of equipment and resources by conducting check and audits when requested Ensuring the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of data and information and compliance with Regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements. To be successful in this role, you'll need: To have good interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate using a warm emphatic style. Have a good ability to communicate effectively at both written and oral level, taking into account the recipients. Know legislation and its implications for the profession and the client groups we work with. To have good computer literacy skills. Be able to identify and proactively resolve problems. Be able to receive supervision from a qualified psychologist and be able to use the space to reflect and develop skills and experience, to maintain a record of supervision. To meet professional practice expectations and the BPS code of ethics To manage personal and professional boundaries and conduct themselves in a courteous manner A BPS accredited recognised degree in Psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR). Experience of working with clients in a similar or related field relevant to the position Where you will be working: Location: Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BN You will be working at Farmfield Hospital, which is a large purpose-built medium-secure service with good facilities. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide care and support for adult men 18 with a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and behaviours that challenge. Farmfield is located North West of Gatwick airport near the village of Hookwood, with good transport links by road, bus and train. It is easiest to reach the site by car.
