Overview
This national geotechnical services company, requires an office / site based assistant in Essex. Fastrack Site Investigations Limited specialise in providing services to the subsidence (buildings) insurance and new build development sectors. This is a split role which may suit an engineering / geology graduate looking to join the industry or someone looking to work flexible hours. Approximately three days per week will be site based and two days office based. Reporting directly to the senior geologist, this is a varied role which will involve carrying out geotechnical surveys, as well as drawing up survey reports. Working as part of a team, full training will be provided for both roles, however a keen drive to learn new tasks will be necessary. Benefits: Workplace pension Optional BUPA Healthcare Annual Performance Bonus Main Duties and Responsibilities: Site Investigatiosn - excavating trial holes, drilling boreholes and carrying out CCTV camera surveys Writing factual and interpretive geotechnical reports under the guidance of a qualified geologist Booking in site investigations for the nationwide teams and organising logistics Ensuring reports are issued to clients within SLA Required skills: The successful candidate will be conscientious with the ability to learn new skills and adapt to new tasks. Experience of MS Office The role will be subject to a 3 month probationary period.
