Overview

The Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all the public areas of the grounds in impeccable conditions and to ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained in accordance with standards. In addition to the above, the following will form the basis of your day to day responsibilities: Main Duties and Responsibilities: Core Role • Be reliable, flexible, honest and a strong advocate for the business and the Client • To clean the communal areas, refuse areas, back of house areas and leisure facilities on a daily basis ensuring all areas are kept meticulously clean at all times • Ensure the development is cleaned to an immaculate level • Attention to detail on all aspects of the job • To have a complete understanding of the different cleaning products and their economical • Ensure, always, that the correct cleaning materials are used for all fabrics in line with your training • To minimise spoilage, breakage and wastage of operating supplies being mindful of budget at all times. • To handle resident enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report resident complaints or problems to the Housekeeping Team Leader or senior team member on site, if no immediate solution can be found and ensure follow-up with the resident is done • To hand over to the Housekeeping Team Leader all Lost & Found items with full and detailed information • To maintain an organised and tidy work and all public areas • Any other reasonable task that might be required. • Any other reasonable tasks asked to be performed by the management according to the changing business needs • To provide a warm, courteous and prompt greeting to all residents and visitors to the building, genuinely making eye contact and extending a friendly smile • To anticipate any resident needs, follow up and ensure that the resident expectations are met and where possible exceeded • Actively and positively engage with residents, colleagues, visitors, clients and our service providers to ensure a seamless service experience can be created • Support your colleagues and assist coaching new starters through their probation periods Health & Safety: • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately • Complete your daily tasks in line with all your H&S training, risk assessments, COSHH and manual handling procedures • To speak to your Team Leader if you are unsure about anything • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management safety personnel.
