Registered Manager Young People

Rite Directions are looking to acquire a Registered Manager for their new home in the Peak District, providing residential care to vulnerable young people with challenging behaviours. This is a new project and the successful candidate would get to play a big part in the set up and the recruitment of their own staff team. The home is ideal for a nurturing environment and is located in a fantastic rural setting with access to a wealth of therapeutic outdoor activities. To be considered for the position you must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal with a proven track record of effectively leading a team. You will hold a level 5 Diploma (CYP), Registered Managers Award, equivalent NVQ or be working towards this. We may consider applicants with at least 3 years’ experience at deputy level who can demonstrate they have assisted in managing a similar home . Key Responsibilities: Safeguarding all children and young people in your care and ensuring up to date policy and procedures are in place and adhered to at all times. Good knowledge of current regulation, legislation and standards. Leading, supervising and motivating your team to ensure high levels of care and support. To develop new staff through induction, training and mentoring. Essential Requirements Holds or working towards Registered Manager Award, level 5 Diploma CYP or equivalent NVQ’s . Proven experience in a managerial role working with young people (EBD/CSE/CCE). To provide support and work out of hours ‘on-call’ when required. Full clean driving license.
