Job title: Monitoring Operational Support Officer Location : Trafford Park, Manchester Contract: Full time, 40HRS Shift : Between 7am-8pm over a rotating shift pattern including weekends. Salary : £19,481 Start Date : TBC Job Description: About Electronic Monitoring Services (EMS) Capita EMS is contracted by the Ministry of Justice to provide electronic monitoring services across England and Wales. Electronic monitoring technology is commonly fitted to a person's ankle and is used to deter them from breaking their curfews and places a stronger emphasis on rehabilitation, helping to ensure public safety across the country, while addressing the growing concerns about overcrowding in prisons. We're looking for a team player to join our 24/7 365 days a year Monitoring Centre at Electronic Monitoring Services. The newly refurbished modern offices are positioned in a central location easily accessible to the local transport networks. You'll work collaboratively with your team and our Field team to look after curfew and location monitoring, making sure we're working with people under electronic monitoring orders (commonly referred to as tags) in the best way possible. What you'll be doing Joining us as an Operational Support Officer, you will predominantly be handling incoming and outgoing calls with several key stakeholders, advising and supporting on the curfew requirements within a fast-paced contact centre environment The main stakeholders that you will be talking to on a regular basis will be the person who is subject to electronic monitoring services Liaising with external agencies, such as the courts, police and probation service on a regular basis Working collaboratively with internal colleagues to create better outcomes You will review and act upon information from several reports/MI data to support in decision making Responsible for ensuring that records are accurate and up to date Administrative tasks that include contacting external agencies for missing and up to date information Inputting data into our systems electronically and manually (using Microsoft applications) About you Empathetic, understanding and able to remain professional in difficult situations Quick thinking, calm and resilient Strong listening and communication skills We are looking for a team player with experience of working to goals and targets You'll need to able to competently use Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook If you have knowledge of working with the Criminal Justice System or previous experience dealing with justice agencies this would be useful but is not essential Successful security and vetting checks are required which will include a disclosure and barring check What's in it for you?
