Overview

Maternity Cover from September 2020 This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join a vibrant and popular Classics Department. The Department offers Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation to A Level and the ability to teach at least two of these subjects is essential. The Department achieves consistently excellent academic results at GCSE and A Level and makes a significant contribution to the extra-curricular life of the School. Mayfield is committed to the provision of Classics through the School and the successful candidate will join a well-resourced, supportive and successful Department. This position is ideally suited to an able and ambitious NQT or recent graduate. Mayfield is a leading Catholic Independent boarding and day School for girls aged 11-18 situated in the East Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London and 40 minutes from Gatwick.
