Harris Academy Chobham is currently looking to appoint a qualified Teacher of English to join its team of specialists. Please note - this role is for Maternity Cover. The English Department is a creative and tenacious department lead by Director of Learning, Rupert Munck, who also oversees the progress and resources of Key stage 4. Mr Munck is supported by KS5 lead and head of Sixth Form progress, Louis Boyd and KS3 Leader Matthew Ward. The Department is an outstanding department held in high esteem in the Academy. The Department is always keen to grow and develop their Teaching and Learning practice and put students at the centre of every pedagogical choice. Thank you for your cooperation during this difficult time. The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree. Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students. Support the subject area as appropriate and provide direction for Subject Lead and teachers. Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students. Provide a motivating and structured learning experience, which will provide students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
