Sewing Machinist

Rotherwood Recruitment are working in partnership with a long standing business based in Padiham. They produce soft furnishings and create premium products to a very high standard. They pride themselves on being a family run business that has great values and their employees are the heart of the business. Due to expansion they are now looking to recruit a number of sewing machinists. Experience: Good numeracy skills due to the measuring and stock requirements Able to follow instructions well Good attention to detail MUST have at least 2 years experience using flat bed machinery within a similar business MUST have experience using over locking Experience in the following is an advantage but not essential Blind hemmer and twin needle machines. Able to handle large materials due to the main job role to be making curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The working hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am-4:15pm and Friday 7:30am-12:30pm (However the working hours can be flexible and they would consider someone on a part time basis.) This role will lead to a permanent position subject to meeting company expectations after a 12 week period.
