Stores Operative

Stores Operative, Blandford, Competitive Salary The purpose of this job As a Stores Operative , you will receive, monitor and control stock for a busy manufacturing business. You will be checking for damaged or missing items, moving stock around by hand or using forklift truck, picking and packing orders and keeping the paperwork up to date. Your responsibilities Goods Inward/Outward Receipt of deliveries to site, including documentation checking and notification of deliveries to other functions Liaison with QC function for goods receipt inspections Ensure packaging for despatch items is secure and adequate Be responsible for daily despatch protocol Day to day organisation of quarantine area Stock Control Monitor stock against agreed inventory levels and re-order consumable as required Issuing, components, raw materials and consumables (as specified by the bill of material) in a timely manner to meet manufacturing schedules Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against inventory Ensure stock items have appropriate codes Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items You will Have prior experience stores / warehouse environment Experience in operating a computerised stores management system Understand the importance of compliance with processes and procedures Have the ability to maintain stock rotation, good housekeeping and quality standards Have the desire to progress within the business Be computer literate Fork lift driving license Full driving license Your new employer A well-established manufacturing company based in Blandford , working globally with a range of cable services to develop, manufacture and support data, voice and fibre optic cabling.
