Overview

We are recruiting an experienced administrator to work for our client, a leading bespoke manufacturing and design business. The role will include calculating, processing and controlling of sub-contract work which includes powder coating, galvanising and anodising processes. Supplier liaison is expected as well are monitoring, analysing, reporting and implementation of any measures necessary to improve performance. Although the role is full time, there is scope in the ‘day to day’ workload to accept additional duties such as sales order processing. Key Responsibilities: • Effective organisation and execution of sub contract orders in a timely manner. • Regular contact with sub-contract suppliers to maintain project milestones including controlling / organising transportation. • Accurate calculation and processing of enquiries, quotations and purchase orders. • Resolving any invoice irregularities and / or disputes. • Involvement in internal and supplier meetings on or off site. • Involvement and assistance of Quality related issues. • Prepare and conduct shipping entries and closing of sales orders. • Liaison between departments to promote effective and positive working relations. • Positive relationship building with both internal and external supplier and customers. • Assist in general administration tasks such as scanning, filing, retrieving information etc. • Be willing to undertake new skills and / or training to improve overall business performance. • Daily / weekly / monthly reporting on performance statistics. • Report directly to the Production Manager aiding with any relevant tasks. The ideal candidate will have: • Have the ability to work to deadlines. • Good organisation, written and verbal communication skills and telephone manner. • Good numeracy and IT skills including a good understanding of Microsoft applications such as MS Outlook, Word and Excel as. • The ability to use their own initiative and work independently and as part of a team (when required) without direct supervision. • The ability to prioritise and multitask. • An understanding of general supplier / customer concepts. • An understanding of an ERP system. You will have experience of working with suppliers, and have been employed in an admin function within a manufacturing facility. This is a permanent, full time role with an immediate start.
