Overview

We are seeking an Azure Platform Engineer to act as a subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure and platforms. As the Platform Engineer, you will be required to possess a high level of technical understanding working with cloud and DevOps technologies, working towards continuous integration and deployment and working collaboratively with service and delivery teams. As the Platform Engineer you will possess the following accountabilities: Working in a in a multi-functional software delivery teams, acting as the infrastructure and platform subject matter expert. Technical infrastructure and architecture principles. Deploying and managing infrastructure platforms in cloud environments. Configuring and running automated software and server deployment tools. Working with 3rd party service providers to design, deploy and manage joint IT solutions. Azure AD and O365 administration Work with the security architects' team to ensure that system and information security is maintained Essential Skills Experience of building enterprise solutions within a Cloud platform (Azure) Develop applications with optimised for cloud deployments within Azure Experience of setting up cloud-based infrastructure alongside governance and security policies Ability to maintain, support and troubleshoot an Azure environment Working knowledge and experience of MS Stack technologies (AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy) Experience of virtualisation platform such as Hyper-V / VMware - configuration and administration Experienced in Automation of key administration tasks. Desirable Knowledge of O365 configuration and deployment Hybrid Cloud platforms Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings and to potentially be part of an on-call rota. Dev-ops and Agile experience. Microsoft Azure Certification: Such as (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate) Please note that you must be a British National to apply for a role at AWE.
